Cerelia Bakery Canada LP Quality Assurance Technician 3rd shift in Whitehall, Ohio
We are looking for a Quality Assurance Technician that demonstrate strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work well independently and on a team. This role is critical in ensuring products meet quality and food safety standards prior to release. This is a hands-on position that assist with inspections, document review, calibrations, testing, and other activities to maintain our food safety and quality programs.

Responsibilities
This list is not all inclusive, other duties assigned as necessary by management.
Perform inspections and verification checks throughout the production process to ensure adherence to quality standards and established procedures. Report any deviations or non-conformances.
Review production documentation to ensure completeness, accuracy and compliance with protocols, specifications, and regulations.
Follow established programs, policies, and practices to produce safe, quality foods that meet SQF, regulatory, company, and customer requirements.
Support the development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the SQF System.
Work with other departments to implement procedure changes due to corrective or preventive actions issued to resolve deviations due to equipment breakdown, processing deviations, material specifications and consumer complaints.
Perform bake-off and analytical tests on finished products. Ensure products meet all quality specifications before release. Document visual inspection and test results.
Identify and document non-conformances during production and sanitation processes and report findings to area supervisor. Initiate corrective actions or preventative measures as needed.
Calibrate inspection, measuring and testing equipment on a routine basis. Maintain calibration records.
Assist with internal audits and external inspections as needed. Provide documentation and address any findings.
Assist in investigating deviations and consumer complaints.
Maintain organized files and records for quality system documentation, SOPs, test methods, validations, etc.
Maintain clean and orderly workspaces.

Requirements
Education and/ or Experience
High School Diploma (associate degree is a plus)
At least 1 year of relevant quality assurance experience, preferably in food manufacturing.
Knowledge of food safety programs, microbiological and sanitation concepts.
Experience with regulatory (Kosher, Organic, RSPO, Non-GMO, Gluten Free) concepts preferred.
Functional knowledge and use of Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, & Outlook.
Communication and Analytical Skills:
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to apply mathematical application to practical situations.
Must be organized, detail oriented, possess good troubleshooting skills, and be able to prioritize required work.
Ability to critically think in a fast paced and stressful environment.
Other Skills and Physical Demands
Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with minimal supervision.
Ability to work with extended periods of standing, walking, bending, twisting, and lifting safely.
Ability to interact professionally with honesty and respect towards everybody.
Flexibility to work off-shifts, including days or nights, weekends, or holidays.
