Requirements: Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, biological, clinical laboratory science, medical technology or related field plus 1 year of experience.
Must hold a nationally recognized clinical certification (ascp or amt) or hhs certification.
1 year experience in the position or related occupation.
Special Requirements: Must have experience in laboratory and high-complexity testing.
Job Duties:
Perform medical laboratory tests, procedures and analyses to provide data in use in diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease. Work in a manner that facilitates excellent customer service, teamwork. Practice safety and infection control procedures to assure a safe environment. Perform quality control procedures as delineated assigned. Prepare reagents, calibrators and control for use in routine and special tests. Process abnormal results and critical values according to laboratory policies. Collect and process patients specimens according to approval procedures and specified times whenever necessary.
