Where do you fit?

To be a successfulFoster Care Supervisor you must be willing and able to do the following always:

  1. Ensure trauma-informed programming occurs with a focus on creating a safe and supportive environment for staff and those served through knowledge, sensitivity, respect, and a focus on resilience and recovery.
  2. Provide supervision for foster care staff both in-person and virtually in the assigned area including foster home support and supervision, and administrative assistance. Work cooperatively with human resources to conduct timely interviews for vacant positions and hire quality applicants. Successfully address employee needs and concerns utilizing Supervision for Success.
  3. Oversee the development, coordination, and management of all foster care services for assigned region. Exercise discretion and judgement in the best interest of staff, youth served, and foster families. Ensure the best customer service is being provided to all stakeholders working with the department.
  4. Oversee the assigned areas ofgrowth with the involvement of churches, communities, and other organizations to increase foster home recruitment.
  5. Ensure staff compliance to regulatory board requirements including maintenance of field training (if licensed).
  6. Demonstrate knowledge of DCF licensing standards for both initial licensing and on-going licensure for foster homes.
  7. Participate in the on-call rotation and provide support to foster care staff and foster families as needed after hours.
  8. Participate in the development and implementation of Foster Care initiatives and goals as outlined in the program and strategic plans.
  9. Demonstrate the willingness to obtain the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job within the competencies established for the position and meet department goals.
  10. Follow Company Policies and Procedures and operate according to the Companys Program Practice Guidelines.

Requirements

To qualify for this job, you need to have:

  1. Bachelors degree in social work or related field required. Masters degree in social work or related field preferred.
  2. BSRB license required.
  3. Two years successful experience in child welfare or related social services. Two years of successful supervisory and management experience preferred.
  4. 21 years of age.Must pass a background check, fingerprinting, physical, and drug screening.
  5. Maintain company-required training.
  6. Physical Working Conditions - Ability to travel, drive company or personal vehicle including at night. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends. An employee is subject to outside environmental conditions occasionally, inside conditions frequently, with protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature change.
