Summary About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the 2d Signal Brigade, Wiesbaden, Germany. Responsibilities Serves as one of the 2d Theater Signal Brigade senior logisticians and principal technical advisor to the 54 and Commander on the full range of logistics operations issues confronting the Command Provides policy, direction, and procedures for all logistics operations. Manages the fielding of items to brigade units and consolidates and submits required recurring reports Prepares logistics annexes for OPLANs and OPORDs for contingency and theater deployments and operations. Serves as the brigade focal point and user representative for logistics support development and materiel fielding of brigade systems equipment Oversees and identify strategic satellite sustainment logistical requirements for fielding, ongoing upgrades, and technical insertions within the brigade. Plans, organizes, and coordinates all logistical operations activities of the command. Participate in reviews, inspections, and command visits to determine compliance with Department of the Army, NETCOM, and 2d Signal Brigade supply regulations. Leads a multidisciplinary work team engaged in the planning and/or execution of logistics projects required to support the logistics program for the Brigade. Performs a full range of supervisory functions and plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe one-year specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Qualifying experience would be demonstrated by planning, coordinating, directing and providing support in all aspects of Brigade logistical operations; providing logistics planning, requirements, exercises, and mobilization support to manage a transportation program; and preparing logistics annexes for Operations Plans (OPLAN) and Operations Orders (OPORD) for contingency and real-world deployments and operations." In accordance with DoD CES Personnel System Implementation Guidance for Overseas Rotations and Administrative Return Rights, employees must be able to satisfy the rotation requirement and tour limitations in DoD Instruction 1400.25 Volume 1230. If an employee brings a child to an overseas location and that child is entitled to attend a DoD school on a space-required basis in accordance with DoDEA Regulation 1342.13, the DoDEA and the Military Department responsible for providing related services will ensure that the child, if eligible for special education, receives a free appropriate public education, including related services pursuant to DoDI 1342.12 and DoDM 1342.12. If an employee brings an infant or toddler (up to 3 years of age) to an overseas location, and that infant or toddler is entitled to attend the DoDEA on a space-required basis in accordance with DoDEA Regulation 1342.13, then the Military Department responsible for EIS will provide the infant or toddler with the required EIS in accordance with the eligibility criteria consistent with DoDI 1342.12 and DoDM 1342.12. Employees (and family members) who require medical or dental care in the overseas location will be responsible for obtaining and paying for such care. Access for civilian employees and their families to military medical and dental treatment facilities is on a space-available and reimbursable basis only. The initial length of this overseas tour is 36 months U.S. citizens overseas under ordinarily resident status are not eligible for appointment under the Status of Forces Agreement.
