Aston Carter Audit Associate in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania
Aston Carter has an immediate need for an Auditor for a large employer in the Wilkes Barre, PA. This is a hybrid position requiring both in office and remote work in Wilkes Barre, PA
The Audit Associate will be responsible for conducting Worker’s Compensation insurance audits. The purpose of an audit is to determine the customer’s actual insurance exposure and to process adjustments to ensure appropriate premiums are billed to the customer. This is a great opportunity to begin a career in the insurance industry.
Specifically you will be tasked with:
Reviewing and analyzing payroll, tax, and accounting records to determine the appropriate premium base for a variety of insurance lines, including Worker’s Compensation, General Liability, and Professional Liability (a.k.a. Errors and Omissions)
Obtaining descriptions of business operations, employee job duties, and other relevant information over the phone and through email
Adjust premiums based on state manual rules, such as officer wage adjustments, premium overtime credits, tip credits, etc.
Complete audit worksheets using an Excel template and process the audit findings in our database
Provide superior customer service to the policyholders throughout the audit process

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree (Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, English, or similar degree)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong computer navigation skills
OR
Associate's Degree
2+ years of auditing, A/P, A/R, payroll, or general ledger accounting experience
Ability to work within already created pivot tables and Vlookups in Excel
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
