SUMMARY:

Chance Aluminum, based in Williamsport, PA, focuses on production as the domestic supplier for AA Metals, a Florida-based master distributor with global operations in the United States, Columbia, Turkey, and China. We are a safety focused, drug-free, tobacco-free industrial manufacturing facility looking to expand our team of dedicated, goal-driven individuals.

Currently, we have an immediate opportunity for an experienced Process Engineer at our Williamsport facility. We're looking for a result-oriented professional with an exemplary track record of success in safety and collaboration to join our team.

QUALITY PROCESS ENGINEER PRIMARY JOB FUNCTION: Perform functions to provide manufacturing departments with technical and engineering support, in areas relating to manufacturing problem resolution and process improvement. Developing, configuring, and optimizing industrial processes from inception through to start up and certification. Assessing processes, taking measurements, and interpreting data. Designing, running, testing, and upgrading systems and processes to optimize safety, quality, and production efficiency.

QUALITY *PROCESS ENGINEER RESPONSIBILITIES:* Support the plant in strategic business improvement activities that will focus on improving safety, quality, delivery, and productivity with a results-oriented approach Coordinate efforts on process improvements, including capital projects, and support and lead the execution of problem-solving efforts related to process and machine improvements Document operation processes and investigate existing and emerging technology, to determine opportunities for process improvements to affect quality and efficiency of production. Examine specific problem areas, efficiency opportunities and devise solutions to include development of process control strategy to ensure long-term product and process capability Develop and maintain process control plans, FMEAs and process manuals Supports leadership and production team on management reviews, major quality initiatives, and process improvements. Ensure programs operate within designated budgetary constraints and prepare any range of related progress reports and presentations Assist in the design and engineering of equipment, facility, and flow paths to optimize total system productivity. Complete assigned tasks in accordance with government codes and regulations, safety, quality control, company programs and procedures. Other tasks as assigned.

QUALITY *PROCESS ENGINEER REQUIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:* Bachelor's degree in engineering Minimum of two years of industrial manufacturing experience Strong understanding of mechanical components Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Ability to think critically and theoretically Adaptable to change Detail and results oriented Willingness to learn Ability to function successfully in a fast-paced, changing work environment Work with limited supervision, self-driven Capable to develop successful partnerships with internal and external team members

QUALITY PROCESS ENGINEER PREFERRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering Four years of manufacturing experience in the aluminum, metals, or similar industry Knowledge of material sciences, metallurgy, aluminum Familiarity with industry safety regulations Knowledge and/or certification in 5S principles and Lean Six Sigma Continuous Improvement Programs, preferred Familiarity of standards certifications related to ISO 9001- 2015 Strong business, technical, computer, and analytical skills (from educational background and/or manufacturing experience)

QUALITY *PROCESS ENGINEER PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:* Requires ability to work in an office and manufacturing environments. Physical conditions for positions: Sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull kneel, stoop, crouch, climb, grasp, ascend/descend stairs. Must have visual acuity, excellent mobility, good hearing, manual dexterity, good balance, ability to work a minimum of 8 hours, and wear required personal protective equipment. All tasks performed with or without reasonable accommodations.

QUALITY PROCESS ENGINEER WORK ENVIRONMENT: Working with and near electrical and mechanical machinery and equipment in an industrial manufacturing environment, which may include exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels, dust, dirt, fumes, welding machines, and mobile equipment.
