DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Basic Qualifications Education/Training: Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of an undergraduate or graduate program in one of the following areas: Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.

Skill(s): Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong attention to detail; strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills; demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel; ability to work independently and be discreet when handling sensitive financial information; must have completed introductory communications, marketing, or public relations courses and have a good understanding of brand marketing, social media, and digital marketing;

Program Details

  • This internship opportunity is open to undergraduate students, graduate students, and recent graduates.
  • The 2024 summer program will run approximately 10 weeks May August.
  • This position will be based in South Williamsport, PA.
  • This position is Full-Time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Intern Duties and Responsibilities

  • The marketing intern will contribute fresh ideas, create content, and research industry trends. You will work collaboratively on teams to conduct research that improves our brand, communications, and strategy.

Essential Duties 1. Performs a variety of duties to support the Marketing function of which the following are illustrative: a. Support teams to plan, develop, and execute marketing initiatives. b. Complete projects related to branding, content creation and social media marketing. c. Perform competitive market analysis to identify areas of opportunity. d. Collect performance metrics to measure progress. e. Attend and contribute to meetings. f. Provide administrative assistance. g. Shadow the Marketing Manager and others in the Marketing Department, assisting with day-to-day tasks. h. Complete other related duties as assigned.

  1. Coordinates specific work tasks with other personnel within the department as well as with other departments to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of information.

  2. Abides by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment which is free of harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the work place.

  3. Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the Company's compliance with all regulatory requirements, e.g. Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Equal Credit Opportunity Act, etc.

  4. Reports pertinent information to the immediate supervisor as requested, or according to an established schedule; compiles information as necessary or as directed and provides data to appropriate bank personnel.

  5. Responds to inquiries relating to your area, or to requests from customers, other Company personnel, etc., within given time frames and within established policy.

Ancillary Duties 1. Performs tasks which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the department, but which may be altered or re-designed depending upon individual circumstances.
