Robert Half Administrative / Patient Services Coordinator I in Willimantic, Connecticut

Description

We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Administrative / Patient Services Coordinator I in the healthcare industry, based in Willimantic, Connecticut. The role primarily involves coordinating patient services, processing related paperwork, and ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare facilities.

Responsibilities:

• Act as a primary point of contact for patients and handle inquiries professionally and efficiently.

• Maintain and update patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.

• Coordinate scheduling and logistics for patient appointments and procedures.

• Work closely with medical staff to ensure seamless patient care and service.

• Efficiently process patient credit applications and manage financial records.

• Monitor patient accounts and take necessary actions based on account status.

• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.

• Assist in covering for permanent staff during their absence.

• Utilize "About Time" and "ST Microcontroller" skills to manage time and technical tasks efficiently.

• Provide necessary assistance and coverage for maternity leave and other staff absence

Requirements • Proficient in the use of 'About Time' software

• Knowledge of medical coverage and healthcare insurance procedures

• Familiarity with financial notes and their implications in a healthcare setting

• Experience with 'ST Microcontroller' is desirable

• Proven experience in patient services or a similar role in a healthcare setting

• Preference will be given to local candidates due to the immediate nature of the role

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion

• Strong organizational skills with an ability to multitask

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Word)

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration or related field preferred

• Prior experience in a healthcare environment is a plus.
