Job Summary:

Assist with day-to-day processing of Vacation accruals and paid Leave Plans, including functional configuration of implementing new Vacation/Sick/Personal Leave Plans. Will also assist with researching historical records to validate Seniority Dates/Vacation Seniority Dates.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the administration and special payroll processing of employee vacation accruals, paid sick leave, personal leave. Will assist in responding to Field Office Staff and other levels of Management related to inquiries associated with leave accrual questions and issues.

  • Performs other duties and special projects, as assigned by manager.

  • Attendance requirements are Monday through Friday, 38.50 hours p/wk.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be able to perform assigned job duties under constant time pressures and highly interruptive conditions.

  • Must be able to maintain visual attention and mental concentration for significant periods of time.

  • Must be able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

  • Must be able to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time.

  • Must be able to read, write and comprehend written and verbal job instructions / information.

  • Must be able to communicate with others.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook.

  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills.

  • Must be organized and detail oriented.

  • Must be able to multi-task and produce in a high paced team oriented environment.

  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Required experience:

  • Payroll and/or Human Resource Benefit experience preferred

Technical:

  • Ability to use computer and printer

  • Ability to use general office equipment

Pre-Screen

  • Upon offer, employees may be required to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, background, and/or MVR check.

Physical Requirements:

Safety

Due to the inherently dangerous nature of the industry and requirements to work with or around hazardous equipment, employees must have sufficient eyesight to judge distance/coordination of equipment and tools, be able to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods, be able to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather while completing work assignments, be able to wear personal protective equipment as necessary, be able to enter and exit a vehicle numerous times a day, have the endurance necessary to traverse various terrain, be capable of performing job duties throughout a standard 8- or 10-hour day, be able to communicate with others, read, write, and comprehend written/verbal job instructions and information, and communicate and handle conflict professionally.

  • Able to identify job site hazards.

  • Exhibits and carries out cognitive problem-solving skills.

  • Able to read, comprehend, and visualize job build and all prints.

  • Works near/around energized, hazardous parts and equipment.

  • Exposed to traffic.

  • Works around excessive noise from machines (bore drill, backhoe, trencher, mini excavator, bucket trucks, digger derricks, concrete saw, jackhammers).

  • May be exposed to hot and cold environments, poisonous plants or reptiles, and stinging insects.
