JPMorgan Chase Software Engineer in Wilmington, Delaware
DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Analyze estimation and release plan of future work. Break down complex Features and Stories into well understood and achievable tasks. Partner with Architects on the design and architecture for deliverables. Solve and Implement technology challenges. Create test plans and ensure that issues are properly identified, fixed, and tested. Ensure development quality is being tracked and improved using techniques like Unit Testing and Peer Review. Drive Agile engineering practices including, pair programming, continuous integration, automation and test driven development. Set up Infrastructure consisting of Elastic Kubernetes Service, Relational Database Service, Aurora MySQL, and Simple Storage Service on Amazon Web Services. Develop microservices to meet the Machine Learning Operations requirements. Implement Authentication and Authorization using identity anywhere roles and Scoped Roles to the Application Programming Interfaces. Ensure that all security requirements are met. Implement Spinnaker Pipelines to deploy microservices to various Amazon Web Services accounts for development testing and production environments. Implement Splunk and Datadog dashboards for monitoring alerts by System Reliability Engineering team.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Applied Computer Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Module Lead, Data Consultant, IT Consultant/ Associate, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Applied Computer Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Module Lead, Data Consultant, IT Consultant/ Associate, or related occupation.
Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: UNIX; Microservices; Apache Kafka; Docker; Java; Python; SQL; REST; Spring and Spring Boot; Maven; Kubernetes; Splunk; GIT; Junit; Functional Testing; Performance Testing; Unit Testing; Apache Spark; Spark Streaming; Apache Flink; Amazon Web Services Elastic Map Reduce; Amazon lambda; GCP; and Azure.
Job Location: 880 Powder Mill Rd., Wilmington, DE 19803. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.
