ABX Air, Inc. Accounting Analyst in Wilmington, Ohio

Description Works among the subsidiary Controllers to prepare financial analysis and key performance indicators. Coordinates financial forecast process and process improvements for plans and budgets. Performs variance analyses and prepares profitability reports of business initiatives. Compiles and analyzes key financial ratios by different entities, customers, business models. Prepares and analyzes monthly financial data and assists in overall controllership activities. Develops, maintains, documents budgeting procedures with an emphasis on labor and capital spending. Assist in monthly financial close including account reconciliations and adjusting entries. Identifies opportunities to automate, streamline and improve data collection. Develops and implements process improvements for financial analysis and monitoring. Benchmarks financial results and practices against key metrics and industry performance. Performs on-going analysis of budgetary status and impact of supplemental needs and requests, prepares periodic and ad hoc analyses of Budget/Forecast versus Actual for revenue and expenses. Analyzes improvement initiatives and special projects to determine financial impact on the business. Designs and maintains procedures to control and safeguard data for accurate and timely reporting. Queries data and reports using the Company's financial and other information systems to evaluate performance. Prepares management reports for ATSG and senior subsidiary management. Supports month-end closing process and controllership procedures for the corporate ATSG accounting team. Works closely with the accounting teams to maintain effective internal controls and reporting accuracy. Assists in timely filing of 10-K and 10-Q with the SEC. Other duties as assigned What you need: Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance. Ability to understand data tables within business applications, identify relationships and design data integrations. Must have demonstrable hands-on experience preparing or auditing financial statements and performing financial analysis for 3 years. Effective communication skills (English). Demonstrated ability to improve the business through improved analysis, trending, and reporting. Sound business judgment and strong attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with other individuals and disciplines. Innovative style with a "roll up the sleeves" attitude Preferred Skills: Experience with financial planning and reporting tools such as Vena, Adaptive Planning, Essbase, Hyperion, Power BI, Tableau. Prefer experience with enterprise accounting systems such as SAP, Oracle.
