Description
The Clinical Supervisor (CS) is responsible for completing intake assessments and comprehensive diagnostic assessments in support of existing behavioral health programs in combination with the clinical oversight of the Adult Behavioral Health Program, as assigned.
Intake responsibilities include, providing assessments and brief interventions as needed. The CS may also provide clinical consultations to various programs as needed. The CS is responsible for assuring that services are being delivered using psychosocial, psychological, and sociological concepts, techniques, and process of evaluation and intervention.
Clinical Supervisor responsibilities include clinical program oversight by assessing comprehensive assessments and service plans written to identify areas of improvement, need for change, and providing Clinical signatures as required by regulatory and licensing rules.
Clinical responsibilities include creating relevant monthly Clinical Supervision topics, materials, and content, facilitating supervision groups as assigned within the Behavioral Health Programs monthly. Back-up or scheduled on call duties in a rotation to provide direction by way of Clinical consultation to all programs as scheduled required for this position.
This position will be required to meet the requirements of a regular office schedule, working five days per week Monday- Friday, between the hours of 8am and 5pm.
Because the CS will occasionally drive for Agency business, proof of vehicle insurance at $50K/$100K and a valid Maine driver’s license are required.
Qualifications
Duties include and are not limited to:
Oversight and/or facilitation of staff development training for staff which includes: trainings to meet the requirements of at least twenty hours per year
Creating an annual training plan for assigned staff groups.
Evaluating the progression of treatment by analyzing treatment plans and goal progression quarterly for assigned clients.
Reviewing comprehensive assessments and providing clinical feedback to staff
Assessing the need for continuing education and training of staff in order to ensure accepted professional standards are maintained
Providing clinical supervision of staff including onsite supervision to ensure that clients receive appropriate quality care which meets established standards
Working in a team environment and coordinating services with other treatment providers
Maintaining professional documentation standards for client records as required by the Agency
Participating in peer review of OPT charts to improve quality of documentation
Navigating state database (KEPRO) to document eligibility of client and current goals
Participating in group supervision with Clinicians as defined in MaineCare regulations and individual licensing requirements from the Maine Office of Professional Licensure
Participating and practicing a philosophy to care as defined by the Agency’s Clinical Director according to evidence-based treatment modalities
Encouraging positive communication with other team members
Providing team support, direction, and feedback
Evaluating, by reviewing and assessing, the success of departmental processes in achieving the Agency’s mission and goals
Developing and monitoring progress of client-centered treatment plans
Maintaining confidentiality of all clients served through the Agency in accordance with HIPAA regulations governing behavioral health treatment and diagnosis
Adhering to all state regulations, policies, and contract parameters
Managing caseload needs through consultation, collateral contact follow up to missed appointments, and close cases when necessary
Maintaining all requirements of the AMHI Consent Decree as it pertains to providing client services
Attending and participating in behavioral health conferences, committees and Alliances
Position Requirements:
Proof of vehicle insurance at $50K/$100K and a valid Maine driver’s license are required
Master's Degree required
A current Maine license as an LCSW, LMSW-CC, LCPC, LCPC-c, LMFT, LMFT-c, or licensed Clinical Psychologist is required.
Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, communication skills
Must be 18 years of age or older
Advanced skill level with Microsoft Office Word and Excel
Minimum of two years of experience working with children and adults with behavioral health diagnoses
Must have a demonstrated knowledge of psychotropic medications and the ability to participate and practice a philosophy of care as defined by the Agency’s Clinical Director
Minimum of two years of experience working with diverse client populations required
Experience working with co-occurring intellectual disabilities required
