Essential Functions
Schedule proper order of procedures for maximum utilization of equipment and specialty personnel for Radiology, Respiratory Therapy, O.R., Endoscopy, and consulting specialty physicians outpatients visits. Obtains information pertinent to the Outpatient pre-registration process from the physician’s offices or patients. Communicate clearly, effectively, and in a courteous manner via telephone to physician’s offices, with the public and interdepartmentally. Refers patients to the appropriate department for preparation instruction information. Verifies insurance benefits and obtains precertification/authorization as necessary. Determines and accepts required payments, including co-pays and deductibles, or refers to financial counselors for follow up.
Minimum EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent - Required Required SkillsRequires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
