As the Project Manager for ESG Operations, an Inframark Company, Winder team , you lead a multi-disciplinary team providing wastewater treatment, water treatment operations, and maintenance at multiple sites in the community. We are looking for you to bring your expertise in operational process control procedures and maintenance to serve as the point of contact for our client and the local community. You would be responsible for working with our corporate resources team and project team to successfully achieve operations and compliance goals. You would inspect facilities, evaluate O&M functions, review records and data, interview and select new personnel, and initiate and recommend new or improved methods or practices. You would also manage processes and ensure the continuation of operations during plant upgrades and improvements. We will ask you to maintain accurate operational records and prepare reports required by our client and all regulatory agencies.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Supervise the treatment plant leads

  • Train, or is responsible for training subordinates

  • Prepare the treatment plant annual budget and treatment plants annual report

  • Conduct performance evaluations

  • Recommend hiring and terminations; take appropriate disciplinary action

  • Prepare treatment plants standard operating guidelines

  • Administer safety requirements and work rules

  • Respond either orally or in writing to customer concerns

  • Direct Water / Wastewater Treatment Division short- and long-term planning

  • Responsible charge for the maintenance and operation of an activated sludge, secondary treatment, sewage treatment facility.

  • Monitor the treatment operation for compliance with local, state and federal regulations

  • Review reports, operational data and laboratory results to verify plants performance

  • Make frequent inspections of plants operations

  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of all reports to regulatory agencies

  • Verify that preventive maintenance programs for buildings, equipment, piping and machinery occur on schedule

  • Manage maintenance contracts

  • Prepare, or direct consultants to prepare modifications or specifications for treatment plant improvements

  • Monitor laboratory quality control for operations and accreditation approval

  • Order Chemicals for treatment plants

  • Attend Board / City council meetings as requested

  • Attend safety classes, reinforce and comply with company safety policies

  • Work harmoniously with ESG employees and the public and comply with ESG policies

Qualifications

  • Engineering theory, procedures, and practices as it pertains to the design and construction of Water / Wastewater Treatment Plants.

  • Self-Contained Automated Data Acquisition (SCADA) Systems

  • Must have a valid state driver’s license and meet minimum driving standards.

  • Must be certified by the State Board of Examiners as a Certified Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Class II

Physical requirements

This position requires frequent standing, kneeling, bending and climbing. The employee must be able to use hands to operate and manipulate tools and equipment. This position requires very heavy physical exertion including the ability to lift over 50 pounds and exert over 100 pounds of force regularly. The employee must be willing to work non-standard and overtime hours as required. The position requires normal visual acuity and field of vision, hearing, and depth perception.
