Windham Mountain Resort BASE CAMP SALES AND SERVICE SUPERVISOR in Windham, New York

Overview of Position : The Base Camp Sales and Service Supervisor is a leadership position in the Ski and Ride School responsible for delivering an Above and Beyond service experience to Ski and Ride School guests. This position is primarily responsible for accurate sales and bookings of Ski and Ride School lesson products, providing accurate information to guests regarding Ski and Ride School products and processes, as well as general mountain information, and the ability to resolve any guest-service issues that arise appropriately. This is a Full-Time seasonal position beginning in mid-November and ending in early April.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Accurately sell, cancel, reschedule, re-assign, and/or refund Ski and Ride School bookings

  • Develop and maintain extensive product knowledge to provide efficient guest service

  • Answer any guest inquiries with accurate information in a friendly and efficient manner

  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of Ski and Ride School processes especially regarding children’s programming

  • Research, troubleshoot, and support solutions for all issues by providing necessary information to supervisors and managers when needed

  • Provide oversight, coaching, and assistance to other service associates in their job duties

  • Facilitate appropriate check in and check out processes for daily programming

  • Respond to guest voicemails and emails in a timely manner

  • Responsible for accurate end of day cash out of all point-of-sales

    Job Qualifications and Skills :

  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required

  • Prior experience with a Point-of-Sale system required

  • Experience with RTP software preferred

  • Prior experience in a guest service role required

  • Prior experience with ski area operations preferred

  • Must have basic understanding of skiing, snowboarding, and lessons

  • People Skills

  • Engage in meaningful two-way communication with guests and employees

  • Identify, understand, and manage your emotions and actions to create a comfortable environment

  • Employ professional sales techniques to drive conversations with guests

    Work Schedule and Conditions: We are in the business of providing an Above and Beyond experience for our guests. Our busiest periods are during weekends and holiday periods which you will be expected to work. You can also expect to be asked to work extra hours or days on occasion based on business demand.
