Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for welding, fabricating, and assembling metal structures and components. This role requires a high level of precision and an in-depth understanding of welding techniques, materials, and safety procedures. The Welder will work with various tools and equipment to produce high-quality welded parts for a range of industrial applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Welding & Fabrication: Perform welding tasks using various techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick, Arc) to join, cut, or repair metal parts and structures.
Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine welding requirements and materials.
Equipment Operation: Operate welding machines, grinders, cutting tools, and other fabrication equipment safely and effectively.
Material Handling: Select appropriate materials and metal types based on project requirements, ensuring proper fit and function.
Inspection & Quality Control: Inspect welds and finished parts for accuracy, quality, and compliance with safety standards. Correct any defects as necessary.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Maintain welding equipment in good working order, troubleshooting and making minor repairs as needed.
Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, supervisors, and engineers to ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest standards.
Qualifications:
Experience: Previous experience as a welder (1-3 years preferred), with a strong understanding of welding techniques and metalworking processes.
Skills: Proficient in welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick, Arc), blueprint reading, metal fabrication, and quality control.
Certifications: Welding certification (e.g., AWS, ASME) is preferred, but not mandatory.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy materials, stand for long periods, and work in various conditions (hot, noisy, etc.).
Safety Consciousness: Knowledge of safety protocols and the ability to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities in welding and fabrication processes.
Pay Details: $25.00 to $35.00 per hour
