We are seeking a Material coordinator to join our dynamic team. You will be be responsible for a broad range of duties relating to inventory handling and processing of material. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where your expertise will directly impact production efficiency.
What You Will Do:
Performs a variety of manual/administrative tasks associated with inventory control, stockroom, kitting, expediting and shipping and receiving operations in accordance with established procedures.
Receives, checks, stores, issues and ships a variety of items and maintains inventory control.
Uses assistance and/or powered mechanical means (such as forklifts) to load, unload, store and deliver a variety of incoming and outgoing material.
Prepares and packages small and large parts using proper procedures and materials.
Coordinate the packaging, labeling, and shipping of materials to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing lists, and commercial invoices.
Collaborate with inventory teams to ensure that shipped materials are accurately accounted for and prepared for dispatch.
Processes purchase orders for spare tooling and materials.
Reviews, checks, and analyzes data within ERP system.
Oversees parts preparation, material handling, measuring and packaging equipment; records calibration logs of tools and equipment.
Performs operator preventative maintenance tasks and refers major breakdowns to machine maintenance.
Oversees inventory and checks for accuracy.
Maintains contact with personnel from various customers and supports areas to ensure accuracy of material/process.
Uses assorted measuring and weight recording devices.
Keeps equipment and surrounding areas neat and clean.
Performs related duties as required within the scope of this job function.
Qualifications You Must Have:
HS Diploma. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 2 years of relevant experience is required.
Must be authorized to work in Canada.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Prior experience working within a manufacturing environment.
Prior experience in a materials or inventory control role.
