Description
The Outpatient Clinician is responsible primarily for providing clinical assessments and services to current behavioral health clients and new referrals wishing to obtain behavioral health services through Assistance Plus. The Outpatient Clinician will be responsible for completing comprehensive assessments and using evidence-based practices to determine diagnostic information for each client and provide formal clinical recommendations for needed services.
This position will be required to meet the requirements of a regular office schedule, five days per week Monday- Friday, between the hours of 8am and 5pm.
Duties include and are not limited to:
Working in a team environment and coordinating services with other treatment providers
Maintaining professional documentation standards for client records as required by the Agency, licensing, and Mainecare policy
Participating in peer review of client chart reviews
Navigating state database (KEPRO/Acentra) to document eligibility of client and current goals
Participating in individual supervision with clinician as defined in licensing rules
Participating and practicing a philosophy to care as defined by the Agency’s Clinical Director according to evidence-based treatment modalities
Encouraging positive communication with other team members
Providing team support, direction, and feedback
Evaluating, by reviewing and assessing, the success of departmental processes in achieving the Agency’s mission and goals
Maintaining confidentiality of all clients served through the Agency in accordance with HIPAA regulations governing behavioral health treatment and diagnosis
Adhering to all state regulations, policies, and contract parameters
Maintaining productivity markers as indicated (currently 50% billable hours)
Being aware of and responsible for maintaining all requirements of the AMHI Consent Decree as it pertains to providing client services
Assisting with planning and providing clinical supervisor to unlicensed behavioral health staff as instructed by the Clinical Director
Assisting with evaluating the progression of treatment plans and goal progression quarterly for Adult BHH, CI, DLS, and DSP treatment plans as instructed by the Clinical Director
Occasional on-call coverage as a resource for staff in the behavioral health programs
Completing Vineland assessments once certified to do so
Performing other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Position Requirements:
Proof of vehicle insurance at $50K/$100K and a valid Maine driver’s license are required
Master's Degree required
A current Maine license as an LCSW, LMSW-CC, LCPC, LCPC-c, LMFT, LMFT-c, or licensed Clinical Psychologist is required.
Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, communication skills
Must be 18 years of age or older
Advanced skill level with Microsoft Office Word and Excel
Minimum of two years of experience working with children and adults with behavioral health diagnoses
Must have a demonstrated knowledge of psychotropic medications and the ability to participate and practice a philosophy of care as defined by the Agency’s Clinical Director
Minimum of two years of experience working with diverse client populations required
Experience working with co-occurring intellectual disabilities required
