The Facility Maintenance Tech III will be responsible for advanced level work, as assigned by Plant Engineering Services leadership, necessary to maintain the service life of company assets such as physical structures, HVAC, mechanical, utilities, and grounds in an operative and safe working condition.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.

  • Experience: Minimum six years of experience performing plant operations and general maintenance in a manufacturing, industrial, or similar facility or similar work environment, required. Minimum of four years of experience performing plant operations and general maintenance in a health care facility or similar work environment, preferred.

  • Additional Skills (required): Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Ability to successfully apply customer satisfaction standards. Knowledgeable in the use of a variety of hand and power tools used in facility maintenance. Ability to interact with individuals of all cultures and levels of authority. Valid driver’s license required.

  • Additional Skills (preferred): Broad knowledge of the principles of design, operation and repair or all types of mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC equipment. Knowledge in reading and understanding building system drawings. Understanding or health care facility infection prevention requirements as they related to maintenance activities. Knowledge of universal hazardous materials waste as it relates to maintenance activities.
