Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
We are seeking dedicated Maintenance Technicians for multiple shifts. This role involves performing mechanical preventative and repair maintenance on all production equipment. You will follow written work order scheduling and verbal instructions from the maintenance manager, record work done on provided forms, and adhere to OSHA and company safety guidelines. Additional duties include identifying needed parts, maintaining inventory, performing equipment changeovers, and other assigned tasks. Shifts available include: - 1st shift: 6am - 6pm, 2,2,3 schedule - 3rd shift: 6pm - 6am, 2,2,3 schedule - 2nd shift: 3pm-11pm, M-F schedule - 3rd shift: 10pm - 6am, M-F schedule (PM Mechanic)
Hard Skills
Using meter to take electrical readings (AC and DC)
Reading continuity for opens/broken wires and blown fuses
Reading current with meter and amp clamp
Understanding and troubleshooting overcurrent issues
Reading electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic diagrams
Operating and navigating HMI panels
Wiring up and changing direction of 3 phase motors
Understanding voltage differences (24VDC to 480V DC)
Replacing mat top chain, linked chain, laced belts, rubber bands for rollers, and specialty belt applications
Replacing bearings, shafts, rollers, and sprockets
Replacing gearboxes and motors
Drilling, tapping, and threading bolt holes
Using concrete hammer drill with anchors
Using basic hand tools and battery-operated tools
Applying grease to lubrication points
Changing out V-Belts for fans and working with pulley systems
Working on dock plates, dock doors, and hydraulic cylinders
Performing basic plumbing, painting, and building repair work
Using tape measure for accurate readings
Replacing seals and gaskets
Using torque wrenches to spec bolts and screws
