The Supply Chain Manager position is directly responsible for driving the execution of purchasing activity. This leadership role directly influences the delivery and quality of our products and processes. The Manager will ensure continuous part supply and focus on timely delivery and cost. The Candidate will also oversee a staff at multiple locations and is expected to provide leadership and functional responsibility for purchased part inventory levels to meet budgeted requirements.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Leading and working with the Interiors Services and Support (ISS) Crew Seating Supply Chain team to procure parts to customer requirements within set timescales.

  • Driving continuous improvement in Supply Chain process and standards by managing identified KPIs with a team of tactical purchasing professionals.

  • Coordinating and reporting key supply chain metrics (Supplier On Time Delivery, Overdue Purchase Order Lines, Purchase Price Variance, Sales Order Promise Dating, Material Intake)

  • Monitor MRP system to understand demand and track/report key trends to Senior Management

  • Assuming responsibility for the data integrity in the MRP system to ensure that (amongst others) supplier information, lead-times, pricing and safety stock levels are correct.

  • Leading Supply Chain team in Collins Management System implementation and adoption of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company requirements.

  • Serves as escalation point for escalation issues related to hUTAS Colorado Springs Crew Seating procurement issues.

  • Acts as primary interface for OEM Supply Chain and Operations leaders located at Colorado Springs site.

  • Responsibility for the security of the supply chain and the uninterrupted supply of all materials.

  • Act as the voice of the ISS Supply Chain team for discussions with internal departments (Planning, Engineering, Materials, Quality and Operations) and driving processes to ensure support of these groups

  • Drive improvements in service performance, as measured by customer satisfaction, operational measures and productivity, by deploying best practices and ensure appropriate measurement and monitoring is established.

  • Establish and implement continuous process improvement by monitoring supplier and customer interactions and by obtaining direct supplier and customer feedback on the standards of service delivered by the Tactical Purchasing team.

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with key internal and external customers and suppliers in order to ensure that supply chain targets are achieved.

  • Recruiting, motivating, retaining, developing, and supervising an appropriately skilled team of buyers

  • Management duties as related to managing a staff of salaried employees including (but not limited to) Skills Matrix, SIPOC, maintaining/updating SJIs and purchasing manual, Performance Connects, etc.

  • Other duties and projects as appropriate.

    Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience OR

  • Advance degree and 3 years of relevant experience OR

  • In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior Supervisory experience is preferred.

  • This role can be based out of Phoenix, AZ or Winston-Salem, NC.
