JOB REQUIREMENTS: Fun-Loving & Understanding Companion Are you a fun-loving and understanding caregiver with a good sense of humor and a flexible schedule? Do you enjoy assisting others to maintain their independence in their own home? If so, please consider assisting a wonderful man in maintaining his independence in his Wisconsin Rapids apartment. Wage: \$14.50/hour Work Environment: 1:1 in members own home Hours: Every other weekend: 8 am 11 am and 5 pm 7:30 pm One Tuesday or Thursday a Week: 8 am 11 am and 5 pm 7:30 pm Total hours a week = 11 Ideal Candidate: Someone who likes to have fun and joke around. Someone who is Understanding, Patient, Friendly, Sociable and Dependable Someone willing to get to know this member and learn his likes, dislikes, routine, etc. Able to follow instructions and perform a variety of tasks to assist the member. Experience working with those with memory impairments or willingness to learn Tasks Include: Direction and reminders for activities of daily living Light Housekeeping / Laundry Daily Bathroom Cleaning Meal preparation and reminders Medication reminders Companionship and Socialization Encouragement to stay involved in activities the member enjoys ** Community Horizons offers support for individuals enrolled in self-directed programs through Managed Care Organizations or IRIS (Include, Respect, I Self-Direct) throughout Wisconsin. Self-direction gives program participants the choice over who provides services and how they receive them.
