We\'re seeking a great individual to join our team in the position of Maintenance Technician at the Sleep Inn & Suites in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. This position would be between 30 to 40 hours a week. The key thing for this position to be a great fit is that the ideal candidate will be able to think outside the box, stay organized, and get work done. Our maintenance technician is primarily responsible for performing the majority of the maintenance and repairs at this property. One day you could be programming door locks and cleaning air conditioners and then the next day you\'re doing maintenance work on a pool. Each day is different. Our goal is to provide a safe, secure, and relaxing stay for all of our guests and a rockstar maintenance technician is essential to reaching that goal. Purpose of Position: To keep public areas and exterior property clean and well maintained. Implement preventative maintenance to keep equipment running effectively. Essential Functions: 1) Remove all debris from public corridors and empties all ash urns and interior and exterior trash receptacles daily. 2) Report any employee or guest injury. 3) Follow all company policies and procedures for safety and security. 4) Sweep and mop all hard floors in vending areas, lobby, storerooms, laundry and employee meeting room. Vacuum carpeted areas including lobby and stairways. 5) Clean lint screen of laundry room. Vacuums combustion chamber of dryers. 6) Clean and change air conditioning filters. Check and replace interior lights, emergency lights, and smoke alarm batteries. 7) Maintain vacuum cleaners on a weekly basis. 8) Clean and de-lime ice machine monthly. 9) Follow proper procedures for handling chemicals on the job. 10) Remove debris from parking lot and sweep canopy and entry areas. Check and replace exterior lights. Maintain landscaping of property. 11) Check and maintain pool chemicals daily 12) Clean the pool deck daily & vacuum the pool as needed. 13) Remove snow and ice from entrances. 14) Assist Room Attendants in mattress flipping on a quarterly basis. 15) Complete minor repairs as requested by the Housekeeping Department, Manager, and maintenance slips. 16) Receive and inspect supply shipments and place in the proper storage area. 17) Maintain awareness of all repair items requiring the attention of an outside service person.
