American Tower Senior Business Analyst in Woburn, Massachusetts

The Team

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join American Tower’s IT department. The IT team delivers quality software solutions that provide measurable business value. Day to day you will work in a global, cross-functional environment and will design, implement, and modify multiple custom or packaged applications and reporting tools. Using various project management frameworks, you will identify ways to streamline processes to improve quality and effectiveness. You will leverage IT-related best practices to deliver business solutions. As a Senior Business Analyst, you must be resilient and flexible in response to a rapidly growing organization with changing business needs.

What You Need To Succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.

  • Minimum 6 years’ professional experience in business analysis, application design, implementation, and support or as a super user or auditor preferred.

  • Certified Business Analysis Professional or Certification of Competency in Business Analysis certification preferred.

  • Experience in tower industry, operations, leasing, or real estate preferred.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively.

  • Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to effectively and professionally achieve results.

  • Strong organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast-paced environment.

  • Approximately 15% travel may be required in support of the position’s responsibilities.

  • Proactively estimate, plan, manage, communicate, and execute essential duties with a focus on the uniqueness of each project.

  • Maintain strong, ongoing relationships with business partners, project teams and other stakeholders.

  • Create or oversee the creation of clear and concise documentation throughout all project phases and activities.

  • Lead elicitation, analysis and documentation of complex requirements and business needs, utilizing various techniques such as process mapping; identify and resolve conflicting requirements and trace requirements through to solution; manage requirements to the smallest set that will provide the biggest impact in advancing business objectives.

  • Design solutions for end-user adoption and productivity improvement, with usability in mind.

  • Independently execute on complex configuration, reporting and other technical activities.

  • Partner with the Quality Assurance team to share project information and validate test scripts. Will also perform and coordinate system testing and write and execute testing plans.

  • Serve as a mentor and peer reviewer to other team members.

  • Design and deliver high quality training to end users.

  • Other duties as assigned.
