If you put your accounting skills to good use, Robert Half has an opening for a Senior Accountant with a Healthcare, Hospitals, Social Assistance company. Key parts of the role include preparing and consolidating financial statements, analyzing and reconciling accounts, analyzing cash flow, creating budgets and forecasts, preparing audits, and managing internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Candidates with strong analytical skills and a preference for challenging and fast-paced work environments will be successful in this position. This Senior Accountant role is located in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire within the Healthcare, Hospitals, Social Assistance field. The person in this role will be well compensated and offered a benefits package and the opportunity for advancement.
Responsibilities
Contribute to coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Formulate Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Coordinate Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Complete monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables that includes journal entries, reconciliations, and reports in the compensation area in compliance with GAAP
Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Produce monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management purposes
Analyze financial information and report on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
Offer involvement in various department-wide initiatives
Ensure corporate accounting policies, procedures, and controls are followed when working with business partners and be able to provide support on special requests
Requirements
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
Must have excellent time management skills
Outstanding analytical, quantitative and social skills
Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines
Deep understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance
Experience with ERP systems
3-5 years of overall general accounting experienc
Financial analysis experience
Month end closings experience required
Well-founded grasp of Monthly Financial Reporting
Budgeting experience highly desired
Foundational knowledge in Accounts Payable (AP)
US GAAP experience
Proven knowledge of Weekly Payroll
Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity
Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Proficiency with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
Strong communication and social skills and able to receive criticism well
