Job Title: Customer Operations Specialist

Job Description

As a Customer Operations Specialist, you will serve as an Ocean Import Customer Specialist. Your primary responsibilities will include updating customers on their shipment status and following up until the shipment is delivered. This includes managing daily tracking reports and updating Proof of Delivery (POD) in UFS, while ensuring compliance with provided SOPs for each customer. You will complete files and pass them on to the billing team, communicate with customers and vendors for updates or problem resolution, manage both group and personal inboxes, and occasionally handle phone calls. The role involves managing multiple accounts based on workload, tracking and tracing shipments, and promptly communicating with customers within 24 hours. You will also handle escalations in cases such as damages, delays, missing items, or any customer complaints.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in WOOD DALE, Illinois.

Work Environment

You will work in a cubicle environment within a quiet, updated office space. Hours are from 8 am - 5 pm or 9 am - 6 pm, Monday through Friday. This is a great opportunity with a leading freight forwarder to learn and grow within the department.
