Description We are in search of a Data Engineer to join our team in Woodbridge, New Jersey. In this role, you will concentrate on designing and managing robust data pipelines and architectures, facilitating efficient data collection, transformation, and storage. This role involves a significant level of collaboration with data analysts, data scientists, and other stakeholders to ensure data is accessible, accurate, and reliable for business insights and decision-making. It offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Designing, constructing, and sustaining scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to manage both structured and unstructured data.

• Integrating data from various sources into data warehouses, lakes, or other storage systems.

• Developing and maintaining data models to assist analytics and reporting needs.

• Implementing data architecture best practices to ensure high availability and performance.

• Ensuring data integrity, consistency, and accuracy through quality checks and validation processes.

• Collaborating with stakeholders to establish and enforce data governance policies.

• Monitoring and optimizing the performance of data systems and pipelines.

• Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to data processing and storage.

• Working with data scientists and analysts to understand data needs and deliver appropriate solutions.

• Providing technical support and documentation for data systems and processes. Requirements • Applicant must have 3 or more years of relevant experience in the field of data engineering.

• Proficiency in Apache Kafka is a key requirement for this role.

• Mastery of Apache Pig is necessary for effective performance in this position.

• The candidate should have significant experience with Apache Spark.

• A strong background in Data Visualization is essential for this job.

• The ability to implement algorithms is a critical skill for this role.

• Comprehensive knowledge of and experience with analytics is required.

• Proficiency in Apache Hadoop is a necessary qualification for this position.
