Description
Key Responsibilities:
Lead technical upgrade projects from SQL Server 2012 to SQL Server 2019/2022.
Plan, design, implement, and test ETL processes for new SAP ERP data sources and AWS Redshift to SnowPark technology transition.
Optimize query and storage performance to reduce Azure costs as time permits.
Conduct technical assessments, evaluations, and project planning for Microsoft Business Intelligence Stack components (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS).
Collaborate with Andreas Mehlberg on all phases of development and deployment.
Job Details:
Manage end-to-end development tasks ensuring future-proof functionality of data warehouse and reporting systems.
Coordinate technical and end-user testing, ensuring successful deployment across multiple environments.
Create and maintain technical documentation as required.
Technical Skills:
Extensive experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2012, 2019, and 2022.
Proficient in Microsoft Reporting Services, Analysis Services (Multidimensional and Tabular models), and Integration Services.
Advanced T-SQL querying and programming skills.
Experience with Microsoft Power BI (preferred).
Expertise in data modeling (Star schema, normalization/denormalization, multiple fact tables, date tables).
Familiarity with source control solutions and deployment processes.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
Requirements
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in SQL Server development and administration, focusing on Microsoft BI technologies.
