St. Michael’s Inc. is an employee-owned services company with offices in Woodbridge, VA, and Tampa, FL.  St. Michael’s is focused on assisting government agencies in becoming more successful by providing them quality contract support to help them meet or exceed their goals. In this internship role you will perform various functions in support of our Human Resources Department. You will also have opportunities to network with other interns and departments within the company to learn about other exciting career possibilities with St. Michael’s.

ABOUT THIS ROLE

St. Michael’s is hiring to fill a Human Resources Internship position. During this twelve-week role, you will support the Human Resources Department with a variety of roles to include but not limited to file management, policy editing, database and report management, onboarding and offboarding activities, and general administrative activities. Your communication skills will be beneficial as you interact with various levels of management throughout St. Michael’s Inc. LOCATION

Woodbridge, VA – On-site – This is a 12-week internship with the possibility to extend.

(expected date range: September 30 to December 20)

REQUIREMENTS

  • Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Marketing, Human Resources, Psychology, Sociology, Communications, Project Management ore related major interested in putting their skills to work as a Human Resources Intern.

  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.

  • Proficient with MS Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.

  • Time management, organization, and prioritization skills.

  • Effective written and oral communication skills.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Filing and archiving documents.

  • Edit policy and procedures with proper formatting and references.

  • Coordinate and communicate with task leads, managers, and other team members as needed.

  • Assist with scheduling, setup, and tear-down of company events.

  • Represent St. Michael’s at job fairs and professional conferences.

  • Provide other administrative assistance as needed.

    Compensation: $14 - $15 per hour
