Overview
F airview Health Services is hiring a X-ray Technologist to join our medical imaging department! This position is a Flex position that will float to several different clinics.
Eligible for a Sign on bonus up to $8,000!
The X-ray Technologist provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of high-quality diagnostic imaging, provides quality age-appropriate patient care according to established standards of practice, and works collaboratively with all members of the health care team.
Schedule : This is a 0.8FTE Flex position (64 hour per 2 week pay period). Typical work schedule will be 10-hour, day/evening shifts and weekends as needed .

Responsibilities Job Description
Maintains patient care
Performs examinations
Identifies relevant data from images accurately.
Communicates pertinent data clearly to the appropriate health care professional
Participates in creating a culture of patient safety
Demonstrates knowledge of emergency preparedness
Verify patient identification and documentation
Communicate with and educate patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects of exam
Ensures patient data integrity
Accurately completes computer functions, edits, scheduling, billing, status changes and image transfers in a timely manner
Accurate image marking and digital image manipulation and archiving
Participates as an active team member
Orients and mentors’ new employees and students
Participates in department/facility process/quality improvement initiatives
Responsible for personal and professional development to ensure current knowledge required for position
Cleans and maintains rooms and supplies
Provides integrated services with customers and care partners to ensure high quality care.
Contributes to a positive work environment
Performs other duties as assigned
Correctly operates equipment according to accepted standards and guidelines
Identifies and responds to equipment problems to ensure equipment is working properly.
Maintains a high level of competency
Accepts new technology as it’s introduced into the facility
Participates in Quality Assurance testing as required by regulatory agencies and/or manufacturer recommendations.
Demonstrates knowledge of sterile technique by assisting the physician in a scrub role when necessary for all age groups
Applies established standards of aseptic technique during patient preparation, draping and set up for all procedures
Able to achieve and maintain homeostasis manually or with mechanical device of physician choice when required
Qualifications
Required:
Current ARRT Registration
BLS - from American Red Cross or American Heart Association and current before date of hire
Preferred:
Associate Degree from accredited school
1-year experience as a technologist
