The Design Drafter is responsible for supporting the design of equipment, generating and updating process equipment documentation, and overseeing technical documentation revision control at Group14’s Pilot Plant and R&D facility in Woodinville, WA. This position will become an integral part of the engineering team tasked with supporting and iterating on the next-generation lithium silicon anode material manufacturing equipment. The Design Drafter will create P&ID’s, Drawings, and other technical information documents as well as conduct detailed equipment design. The Design Drafter will also be responsible for revision control of our collection of drawings.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING :

-Create and revise P&ID’s, Piping Isometrics, Electrical Diagrams, Logic Diagrams, and other technical drawings using AutoCAD.

-Maintain and archiving documentation from contractors, vendors, and executed engineering projects.

-Assist with maintaining revision control of drawings for the facility.

-Participate in team review of drawings submitted by contractors for engineering projects.

-Support the creation and build-out of a Company Standard Drawings library.

-Support the creation of Company drafting best practices.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR :

-Strong experience with AutoCAD required.

-Experience generating and updating P&ID’s, Electrical One Line Diagrams, and similar process facility documentation.

-Strong working understanding of standard drafting practices.

-Minimum of 3 years of drafting experience required.

-Utilize basic 2D CAD tools and perform basic calculations to support drawing layouts.

-Ability to prepare engineering drawings based on conceptual or detailed sketches and red-line markups provided by engineers.

OTHER QUALITIES WE’D LOVE FOR YOU TO HAVE :

-CAD Certificate or similar formal training.

-Strong understanding of document control and revision control standard procedures.

-Experience at PSM-covered facilities.

The base pay range for this position is $32/hr - $37/hr. All positions come with a company bonus and stock options. The actual base pay offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the position is located.
