Job Description

One of our large retail clients is looking for a Business Program Manager to join their PMO. The business program manager is responsible for supporting the management of large and/or complex business programs and initiatives from ideation, through approval, execution, and delivery. The ideal candidate will have great communication and facilitation skills, work well with others, be able to drive teams to deliver commitments on time, and be extremely well organized. Many of the projects in this area will be tied to process improvement, so experience with these types of projects will be helpful. This person must have the ability to stand up and initiate business programs from scratch with or without predefined templates as well as the ability to work with all levels of the organization (including Senior Leadership) and structure communication and approach accordingly. This person should be able to identify program level risks / issues and work cross functionally to resolve.

Many of the projects in this area will be tied to process improvement, so experience with these types of projects will be helpful.

Skills and Requirements

• 8 + years Program Management Experience (experience working with CFO is a plus)

• PMP and / or Six Sigma related certifications are a plus

• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices, such as PMBOK, Agile, Scrum, etc

• Able to manage different projects which leverage different methodologies

• Proficient in MS Project, MS Office, and other project management software and applications (Rally specific)

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

• Strong ability to effectively manage risk and change

• Procurement Specific Experience

• Bachelor's Degree null
