Century Linen & Uniform Inc Boiler Operator in Worcester, Massachusetts
Essential Functions:
Operate boilers, and auxiliary equipment in the boiler room.
Read gauges, meters, and charts to track boiler operations.
Monitor boiler water, chemical, and fuel levels.
Water sampling and treatment and chemical testing.
Preventative maintenance of equipment in boiler room.
Perform minor pipe repairs.
Keep the boiler room in clean and orderly condition.
Requirements:
- Boiler Operator/fireman’s license
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to climb a ladder and be able to swap out empty chemical drums for the boiler. Must be able to work with the insurance inspector and be there to open the boiler up for the yearly internal and be there for the yearly external inspections.
Work Environment:
The working environment is indoors and is seasonally heated and cooled with moderate noise levels.
The noise level in the work environment is low to moderate. Lifting to 30lbs. PPE is required in certain parts of the plant. Climbing, Stairs and reach above shoulder.
