Worcester Art Museum Teen Intern, Hoche-Schofield Fund in Worcester, Massachusetts
3 to 10 hours per week Job Overview: To provide direct, hands-on support to the Learning & Engagement Division. Duties/Responsibilities: \ To help organize and prepare art supplies and studio areas for classes, gallery studio workshops, and other programming. \ To do research and design for family guides, brochures, and similar materials. \ Assist in input, organization, and compilation of data, files and photos. \ Help with customer service as necessary \ Act as an instructor\'s assistant in youth programming. \ Assist with installation/take down of exhibits in the Higgins Education Wing. \ Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications: \ Regular and reliable attendance and ability to commit to a schedule as agreed with the intern\'s supervisor. \ Good communication skills, and the ability to work with a wide range of people in different capacities. \ A willingness to learn \ Interest in art and/or museum education \ Ability to lift 25 pounds \ Ability to follow directions from staff and faculty \ If assisting in studio programs, basic knowledge of and ability to work with range of art materials and a willingness ability to work and interact with youth and adapt to wide range of student ability \ Embraces and promotes diversity, equity, accessibility, and inclusion initiatives Education and Experience: \ Completion of freshman year of High School, or more. \ A combination of any or all of the following; familiarity with or educated interest in art history and/or studio arts, ability to work with current technology, experience with or educated interest in education, experience working in an education setting or working with the public.
