Overview

American Foods Group, LLChas an opportunity for aHarvestMaintenance Supervisorto join the team for our new AFG manufacturing facility in Wright City, Missouri.

As theHarvestMaintenance Supervisoryou will beresponsible for providing leadership and ensure execution of the Harvest maintenance departmental plans. Reports to Hot Side Maintenance Superintendent.

  • Oversee maintenance operations (Leads and hourly production employees) to provide for day-to-day control of assigned department activities according to prescribed schedules and priorities.
  • Interface routinely with peers.
  • Responsible for crewing, scheduling, work quality, productivity, and employee training in assigned areas.
  • Administer training to ensure proper operations, preventive maintenance, and repair programs and procedures.
  • Responsible for safety and housekeeping and for proper operation of equipment.
  • Ensure production equipment is maintained per company standards and ensure minimum equipment downtime.
  • Requisition tools, equipment, and supplies.
  • Help establish and maintain preventive maintenance programs and procedures.
  • Accountable for ensuring that all health and safety policies and regulations are enforced, by reporting policy infractions to HR and being involved with taking appropriate disciplinary actions. Perform accident investigations.
  • Participate in plant management and operational meetings and conduct line meetings.
  • Update, maintain, and implement documents, records, or product specifications.
  • Conduct employment actions in accordance with EEO/AA guidelines (hire, selection, promotion, demotion, transfer, termination, etc.).
  • Evaluate department work performance and take corrective action. Take disciplinary or termination action in accordance with company standard practices and procedures.
  • Suggest and/or develop improved processes and production methods.
  • Verify labor hours (Kronos) to ensure all department crewing and payroll report accuracy.
  • Use Kronos reporting information to establish crewing shortages in departments.
  • Run report(s) and complete/distribute Supervisors reports.
  • Promote and drive succession development with areas of responsibility.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

  • Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Diploma or GED.
  • 2 to 5 years supervisory maintenance experience.
  • Proven experience of supervising, planning, and scheduling hourly maintenance personnel.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of refrigeration systems, steam and hot water generation systems.
  • Demonstrated experience using computerized maintenance management systems to deploy maintenance strategies.
  • Demonstrated strong knowledge and troubleshooting of overhead conveying systems, conveyors, HVAC, hydraulics, compressed air systems, electrical systems, and equipment utilized in food processing.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate in English (speaking, reading, and writing).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Post high school education, associate, or bachelors degree.
  • Previous maintenance experience in meat/food processing facility.
  • Slaughter plant maintenance experience a plus (Specifically Beef)
