Boehringer Ingelheim Accounts Payable Team Manager with German in Wrocław, Poland

The position

Looking for a leadership role where you not only are managing an experienced team - but can shape it from day 1? Help us build our Accounts Payable function in our new GBS Center Wroclaw and form a team being responsible for Accounts Payable process for EMEA entities.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • As an Accounts Payable Team Manager, you are responsible for leading the AP specialists team

  • You ensure efficient and effective procedures in a dynamic business and system landscape affected by a high number of transactions and special topics

  • You are responsible for interfacing/customer relationship and issue escalation management for all AP relevant systems/processes related to the assigned areas of responsibility

  • You lead continuous improvements as well as manage or participate in projects

  • You ensure together with Functional Head of Procurement, Sourcing and local Finance, the increase of P2P Automation

  • You integrate countries into GBSC and ensure/manage smooth transition

  • You ensure the stabilisation and retention of standard and local processes after implementation

  • You are responsible for interfacing with all company business areas at management level, and all countries in service of the Center

Requirements

You should speak English and German fluently (min. B2) and have min. 5 years of professional experience in the accounting area, preferably in the Accounts Payable area.

Additionally, we are looking for:

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration or similar

  • Professional experience in the area of Accounting (AP, PTP, S2P)

  • Min. 2-3 years of experience in leading people with a proven track record

  • Excellent understanding of the end-to-end S2P processes

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Understands new topics quickly and transports knowledge to others

  • Excellent presentation skills to all hierarchy levels

  • High customer orientation and open mindset

  • Ability to independently solve conflicts and setting priorities

  • Experience in SAP system is preferred

  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills

  • Excellent analytical skills, strategic mind-set and capable of prioritizing
