MultiCare Health System Polysomnographic Technician Trainee in Yakima, Washington

FTE: 1.0, Shift: Variable, Schedule: Variable Position Summary The Polysomnographic Trainee is BRPT registry eligible; has the basic knowledge and skills to perform the Polysomnographic testing including PAP Titration and associated interventions under intermediate supervision of a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT). This trainee will gain more practical competence and experience working to attempt to sit for the BRPT Examination within 3 months of hire. This Polysomnographic Trainee position is time-limited. The Polysomnographic Trainee must pass the registry exam within one (1) year of hire date. Requirements Current cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR/BLS) certification for the HealthCare Provider issued by the American Heart Association Must currently hold one of the following Allied Health Credentials recognized by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (BRPT): Respiratory Care - (RRT, CRT) OR Electroneurodiagnostic - R. EEG T OR Previous formal training and practicum in Polysomnography which included schooling and experience in PSG coursework, clinical rotations and/or on the job training in PSG OR The Polysomnographic Trainee must complete the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (BRPT) eligibility requirements listed under any one of the 6 Pathways (see attached RPSGT Eligibility from BRPT document attached OR Earn a minimum of 546 or more hours of clinical experience that includes on-site polysomnographic duties performed as direct patient recording and/or scoring Our Values As a MultiCare employee, we'll rely on you to reflect our core values of Respect, Integrity, Stewardship, Excellence, Collaboration, Kindness and Joy. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $27.00 - $27.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education.
