Job Summary
The Phlebotomist is accountable for collecting blood and other specimens from patients for laboratory analysis.
The phlebotomist has primary patient contact for the laboratory and must be able to collect specimens while putting the patient at ease during the specimen collection process.
Performs all duties and responsibilities in such a way as to demonstrate and support the hospital's Catholic and Benedictine heritage and Avera co-sponsorship values of hospitality, compassion and stewardship.
Provides care/service in accordance with regulatory and accrediting agencies standards and Catholic Religious Directives.
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Phlebotomy training and/or experience preferred.
Work Schedule
Day/Evening Shifts
every third weekend, every third holiday
FT; 80 hours every 2 weeks
Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
- $17.50 - $23.00 per hour
