Our maintenance mechanics provide services on the CNC machines, tools, and other complicated and intricated tasks allowing the site to meet the production goals of building components to support both commercial and military customers. Manufactured components are used primarily in Integrated Drive Generators (IDG) and Ram Air Turbines (RAT). RAT’s are used for aircraft emergency power generation. Our RAT’s have been used to save aircrafts and over 2,600 lives.

What You Will Do

  • Perform a wide range of complicated and intricate tasks in the Maintenance Department including operate, design, program, fabricate, assemble, install, modify, calibrate, repair, and perform regular maintenance of manufacturing equipment, precision machine tools, electronic or robotic equipment and other accessories.

  • Troubleshoot/diagnose evaluate and operate test results on machine tool and PLC issues using electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, or hydraulic test equipment, as required.

  • Research, acquire, install, and inspect repair components as needed to complete machine tool repairs.

  • Utilize Maintenance Software Package for developing and documenting standard operating instructions, spare parts data base, assigned turn back repairs, QCPC Projects and turn back collection.

  • Coordinate with necessary machine operator and/or management to schedule work orders/PM’s and verify success of repairs.

  • Consult with vendors and equipment manufacturers on repairs and/or upgrades.

  • Maintain work and storage areas per the 5S requirements.

  • Utilize required material handling and lifting devices while performing duties.

  • Training required in lock out/tag out, hazardous energy, confined space, power industrial vehicles, fall protection and scissor/boom lifts.

  • Ability to read and create basic blueprints and schematics.

  • Must be able to stand for 2-hour increments without an opportunity to sit with or without a reasonable accommodation.

  • Lifting Requirement should be no more than 25 pounds. Anything more than that requires lifting assistance.

  • Must be able to climb stairs and/or ladders.

  • Successful completion of hearing and PIV physical exams

  • 3rd Shift 11:00 pm – 7:00 am Sunday – Thursday

  • Training may take place on 1st shift for 6 months to 1 year.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a HS diploma and 2 years of experience OR in the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 4 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Associate degree Electro-mechanical program or equivalent.

  • Experience in the manufacturing environment

  • Experience with PLC and other industrial electronics.

  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn and use multiple computer applications (including email, internet, and other job-specific applications).
