SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for performing general custodial tasks across diverse work environments, including but not limited to, office spaces, manufacturing facilities, labs, and scale houses. This role involves maintaining cleanliness at multiple worksites/locations within York County.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Performs routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, dusting, mopping, and vacuuming floors.

  • Empties and sanitizes waste receptacles to maintain cleanliness standards.

  • Cleans and disinfects restrooms; replenishes supplies as needed.

  • Moves furniture, equipment, boxes, materials, etc.

  • Performs routine maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs and repairing fixtures.

  • Ensures the tidiness of external areas by promptly removing any debris on site grounds.

  • Assists in setting up chairs, tables, and other equipment needed for meetings or events.

  • Monitors and maintains cleaning equipment, reporting any malfunctions or issues.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience with general custodial duties in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

  • Ability to work independently and as a flexible team member.

  • Must possess a high level of initiative and attention to detail with a customer service mindset.

  • Must possess a valid drivers license and clear driving record.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Perform all work in accordance with YBP Safety policies.

  • The work is performed in multiple settings that may have noise, operating machinery, dust, and dirt from manufacturing.

PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES:

  • Physical demands include but are not limited to walking, sitting, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds maximum.
