This highly visible position, based in York, PA, will support two manufacturing facilities representing a total of $45M in production of the well-known tool brand, Campbell. This is an on-site position where the successful candidate will work closely with Plant Leaders and the Global Operations Finance teams to lead financial operations activities such as planning, controlling, and investments. The Build (Responsibilities)
Coordinate and direct the financial planning, controlling, budgeting, procurement, and investment activities. Prepare or direct preparation of financial statements, business activity reports, financial position forecasts, annual budgets, and other reports pertaining to assigned locations. Analyze the financial details of past, present, and expected operations to identify development opportunities and areas where improvement is needed. Lead, coach, and develop associates performing operations financial reporting, accounting, controlling, and budgeting duties. Interface with local business leaders to understand forecasted demand. Use lean tools such as root cause analysis, countermeasures, and action planning to establish and manage continuous improvement. Validate sourcing, process improvement, and capital allocation request savings for gross margin flow-through. Review labor reporting and cost, material costs, manufacturing overhead, and inventory levels including manufacturing cost rates by value stream. Ensure accuracy of the physical inventory and reported results. Investigate and explain book to physical adjustments. Maintain and review of records of items purchased, costs, deliveries, product performance, and inventories to assist in managing continuous improvement. Assist with review and preparation of capital appropriation requests. Maintain current knowledge of organizational policies and procedures, governmental policies and directives, and current accounting standards. Conduct or coordinate audits of company accounts and financial transactions to ensure compliance with company accounting procedures. Participate in projects or assignments as needed.
The Toolbox (Qualifications)
BS Degree in Accounting or Finance required. 5+ years' experience in an accounting or controlling function within a manufacturing environment with 3+ years' manufacturing cost experience. Advanced ERP knowledge and Microsoft Excel experience required; SAP and Hyperion experience preferred. Knowledge of GAAP, financial consolidation systems, and internal control framework. Demonstrated strong financial analysis, data analysis, and problem-solving skills. Proven ability to perform with a high degree of accuracy under tight deadlines and to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Strong collaborative and communication skills with the ability to provide excellent service to multiple customers, build internal networks, and influence others. High level of strategic, critical, and analytical thinking to assess and identify issues and trends and develop effective strategies. Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to work independently with high sense of urgency and drive for results. Travel required (10%).
