Mon-Fri 7:00a-3:30p; Rotating through the Imaging Center, Heart and Vascular and Vascular Surgery Office
General Summary
Performs routine and advanced diagnostic ultrasound procedures at an intermediate specialist skill level.
Duties and Responsibilities
Performs clinical assessment and diagnostic ultrasound examinations such as carotid, aortoiliac, lower extremity, renal artery systems and fistula, as well as lower extremity venous insufficiency studies
Maintains exceptional patient care
Responds to patient questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and processes
Effectively operates machinery and prepares preliminary interpretations on the presence or absence of any abnormalities in the studies. Venous ablation and/or other interventional guidance experience is a strong plus.
Schedules cases to coordinate with other patient examinations.
Positions and transfers patients safely and comfortably and explains basic procedure.
Selects proper technical factors on an individual patient basis.
Selects and operates equipment as needed to perform required exams.
Maintains equipment in efficient operating order; performs preventative maintenance on a regularly scheduled basis; contacts outside service for major malfunctions.
Prepares and maintains written documentation as required by the profession and the department.
Knowledge and use of digital image storage system PACS.

Qualifications
Minimum Education:
- Associates Degree Required
Work Experience:
- 2 years Relevant experience Required
Licenses:
Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and
Registered Vascular Technologist Upon Hire Required
Courses and Training:
- Accredited program in ultrasound technology Upon Hire Required
