Supplier Quality Engineer York, PA

Summary Implement a Quality System culture by developing and maintain an efficient Quality System and tools to meet and exceed Customer expectation. Coordinate activities of Quality Plan inside the new developments, according to Project Development System and ensuring compliance of development activities to Quality Manage System. Support the Quality activities from methodologic standpoint assuring the OPEX methodologies application according to Quality Performance. Coordinate the activities of service ant attention to the customer to monitor the execution of requirements given by the customer. Relies on experience, knowledge, and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Implement and improve the QMS structure at York/PA, Sacramento/CA, and Houston/TX locations, in accordance with corporate guidelines and quality system standards. Works in multidisciplinary teams with a focus on improving area KPIs.

Responsibilities Guarantee Quality control on products for incoming material and manufacturing. Implement bid list criteria for the incoming material considering supplier performance, collaboration, and location as reference points. Support preparation and execution of Customer Audits. Support Third Party Audits preparation and execution. Ensure knowledge of Non-Conformance Material, Quality Alert and Problem Solving at plant and supplier level about QMS structure and evolution. Ensure availability of periodical Plant Quality reporting and database according to KPI system, with monitoring, tracking, analysis of results and promotion of recovery plans in case of deviations. Guarantee implementation of APQP, PPAP and FAI at all stages. Analyze reports on the results and key indicators of the quality management system, including needs for improvement. Preparing and revising policies, procedures, and work instructions. Maintaining quality records. Disposition and control of nonconforming product. Performing internal audits. Acting as a liaison with external parties on matters relating to the quality management system. Promoting the awareness of customer requirements throughout the organization. Perform root cause investigation for 0km, warranty failures, according to standardized procedures. Guarantee quality criteria standardization. Ensure application of lessons learned and best practices for new projects. Support risk assessment for current production and new projects. Prepare PPAP dossier for product qualification and approval in front of Customer. Assure customer relationship about Quality related topics. Incoming Quality: In case of non-conforming parts / material, initiate the NCR toward supplier and protect internal production and customer by means of proper sorting and rework activities. Incoming Quality: define and apply Control Plans on purchased components, with sampling frequency, inspection methods and free pass criteria. Apply MSA techniques and carry out R&R analyses on measuring and monitoring systems in production. Stop production whenever necessary to prevent delivery of parts not conforming to Customer specific and legal requirements. Qualifications Minimum two years of experience with quality management systems. College degree in engineering technology, engineering, or physical science. Experience with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and VDA 6.3 is a plus. Ability to read blueprints. Prior Inspection or Machining experience is an asset. ASQ-CQE and or CQA certif cations are also considered assets. Lean six sigma and green belt certification is a plus. Experience with AIAG manuals (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC and PPAP) is a plus. Good oral and written communication ability. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills Working knowledge of information systems (Navision, MS Office, MS Outlook)
