Akima Aviation Ground Support Equipment Mechanic in Yuma, Arizona
As an Aviation Ground Support Equipment Mechanic, you are responsible for maintaining all ground support equipment (GSE) in a serviceable condition and collaborate with the warehouse government representative to ensure items are maintained in accordance with applicable Logistics Support Systems.
Responsibilities
Full knowledge of fuel systems, hydraulic systems, electrical systems. Mechanical systems, and of gas and diesel internal combustion engines.
Thorough knowledge of GSE, aircraft and ground safety procedures, applicable maintenance / technical manuals, basic tools, special tools, and test equipment.
Qualifications
Ability to meet any Government/Company licensing/qualification requirements.
Ability to read, write, and interpret instructions, technical manuals and/or directives in English and to follow and administer verbal and written instruction.
Ability to perform the scope of physical movements and postures normally associated with hangar/flight line activities.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Must be a US citizen.
Must have a valid state driver's license.
Must have an active clearance or the ability to obtain one (preference will be given to those with a clearance).
