At Engineering Associates, LLC , as a Technician Field Engineer , you will provide local support assisting OSP Planners, OSP Design Engineers and construction partners with design and implementation of OSP networks.
Candidate must be located in the Yuma, Arizona area - field work is required. This is not a remote position.

What you’ll do as a Technician Field Engineer
Locate, sketch and document detailed information of OSP facilities including, but not limited to: cables, poles, ground structures, terminals, manholes, hand holes, pedestals, electronic equipment and customer premises/building information
Engage with engineering and construction partners, subcontractors, in-house personnel, and key customer contacts, including but not limited to government and local agencies, to coordinate implementation of the local OSP Telecommunications Network.
Measure attachment heights, span distances and structure dimensions
Measure distances from existing/proposed OSP (outside plant construction) facilities
Take measurements, field notes, and produce sketches for TCP design
Identify bonding and ground requirements
Take digital pictures of field conditions and facilities required for site surveys and taking field notes
Input applicable information into company and/or customer databases, as required
What you’ll need as a Technician Field Engineer
To be 18 years of age or older
Authorization to work in the United States for this company
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience in the OSP Engineering field
You will be able to learn and work with Lumen systems: TIRKS, FW, GLM, OSP, NDS, etc
You will be able to deliver clean and clear field notes/pictures
You will be able to learn inside/outside plant
You have experience with aerial and underground construction methods and engineering requirements
You have experience with cable placement and splicing methods and practices
You may have familiarity in permitting requirements for state and local agencies
You may have a working understanding of the RUS (Rural Utility Service) units and their meaning process
Additional qualifications
Effective communication skills
Travel and work extended hours; overtime and weekends as needed
Reliable transportation and a clean driving record
