Abbott Health Economics & Reimbursement Specialist EMEA in Zaventem, Belgium
The Health Economics &Reimbursement (HE&R) specialist EMEA plays a key supporting and driving role within Health Economics & Reimbursement for EMEA for 3 business units within medical devices.
Role and Responsibilities:
Perform detailed identification, analyses, and updating of the funding and reimbursement landscape for the procedures and devices in EMEA for internal communication and as input to business decisions
Support and consistently follow-up on country-level market access actions in order to gain, maintain, and improve coverage and funding through reimbursement of the devices and/or procedures
Identify the Sales and Marketing needs regarding data and information related to HE&R and market access within the divisions portfolio in EMEA
Proactively support the planning and perform data analyses for input to the commercial team and support sales and marketing strategies and actions, such as procedure volume and economic impact of procedures for business plans, market sizing with epidemiological data and patient indication
Support the development of economic value components to add to enhance the value proposition of the therapies and devices, as well as follow up the roll-out in the countries through metrics and KPI for implementation
Proactively monitor external environment, customers and competitors to identify opportunities for protecting and improving value capture
Drive supplementary HE&R initiatives to improve or expedite the key deliverables
Your Profile:
University (Master) degree in Medicine, Economics, Engineering or Social Sciences and hands-on experience in medical device related HE&R. Additional certification on HE, HEOR, or market access is a plus.
A first relevant experience in a similar role
Strong business acumen to connect to local/regional business leaders and develop HE&R solutions to support the business
Both strategic thinking and pro-active, tactical execution and drive for results are critical
Excellent communication skills are a must. This position requires the ability to "translate" the needs into possible business impact for the company and to liaise effectively with a diverse internal and external target audience
A team-player and able to handle cultural and personal differences in the global matrix
Strong project management skills are needed, along with flexibility, self-motivation and preparedness for continuous improvement
The function requires regular contacts with multiple stakeholders: openness to new contacts, engagement of all stakeholders, diplomacy and tact are essential to succeed
Excellent English skills are requested, additional languages are an asset
