As part of Citizen Identity Solution (CID) Business Area team, the Operations Manager reports to the Director of Operations, Malta. The role oversees the Operations Team providing tactical and strategic direction to ensure customer requirements are understood and met whilst reaching set goals and objectives. You will have to maintain a professional approach while supporting and coordinating activities of various departments. You will have the responsibility for the operations team to ensure the company’s safety, quality, and cost objectives are met.

As our Operations Manager, you’ll support HID’s success by:
Forming part of the Malta site Senior Leadership Team.
Leading a team of Front Line Managers and employees
Ensuring that all Managers understand how their work relates to the organization meeting the customers’ expectations and drives our business objectives.
Interacting and collaborating daily with other local and Global functional groups to ensure we understand existing and emerging customer needs and driving teams to identify operational improvements in those areas.
Collaborating with other sites to share best practices, leverage resources/assets, etc.
Preparing and overseeing budgets for assigned operational areas.
Monitoring and improving safety incident rates. Ensuring each employee understands his individual role and responsibilities required to achieve and maintain a safe work place. Proactively identifying and correct unsafe conditions, work processes, and behaviours.
Participating in establishing local procedures aligned with global policies and procedures.
Ensuring compliance with all applicable regulatory, trade and government agencies and company policies and procedures.
Executing a process to track and record values delivered to the customer. Utilising KPI's, metrics and visual management tools to monitor and improve customer efficiencies, production through-puts and achieve cost savings.
Conducting staff meetings, and other meetings as needed.

Able to drive change, flexible in approach to issues.
Good interpersonal skills, able to communicate well and strongly interested in
People development
Strong leader and influencer, who can quickly establish the key priorities for the
Operations activities and get buy in at senior management level.
Excellent analytical and project management skills.
Fluent in English, another language is a plus
Your Experience and Education include:
Previous 3-5 years’ experience in Manufacturing.
Typically, 3-5 years’ management experience.
Experience in working in multi-cultural teams.
Six Sigma/lean manufacturing experience preferred.
