Job Description Summary

This position is responsible for conducting routine inspection and analysis of incoming service material and quality reviews of domestic and international service records by identifying conflicts, dependencies, and risk of release to ensure Quality Assurance Standards and procedures are met.

Responsibilities

  1. Process service records for Bard/BD Direct and Contract Service Providers (CSP) by reviewing paperwork for accuracy, completeness, and correctness.

  2. Coordinate with Field Assurance (FA) in following up with service providers to clarify issues with complaint records so that the records can be closed in a timely manner in accordance with divisional target dates and regulatory requirements.

  3. Communicate problems, situations, opportunities, and progress to management.

  4. Provide support for:

  • Pre-review of quality document changes i.e., change management

  • Qualification testing IQ, OQ, PQ for on-going product transfers (as required)

  • Corporate, FDA, ISO, and Internal Audits (as required)

  • ServiceMax User Acceptance Test

  1. Assist with resolving quality problems within the inspection department, such as documentation or non-compliance issues.

  2. Perform inspections, checks, and follow sampling procedures according to the applicable instructions on products having been delivered by suppliers before their use in service.

  3. Utilize basic measurement tools to inspect parts (Micrometers, calipers, height gage, thread gage, scales, pin gages, etc.)

  4. Process all appropriate paperwork for inspection operations.

  5. Accept or Reject products as defined in the inspection instruction/ checklist.

  6. Accurately document non-conformity when applicable with clear characterization.

  7. Additional task as requested, as required.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication and team skills as well as a keen attention to detail

  • Associate Degree in a related technical field or equivalent experience

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Word, etc.

  • Operate to the requirements of FDA 21 CFR Part 820 and ISO 13485

  • Basic understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Quality System Regulations (QSR)

  • Familiar with a variety of measurement equipment
