Your Role
For the Design Services team based in EAME, we are looking for a Project Director Interior Design. In this role, you will be responsible for the execution and delivery of Hyatt Design Standards and Brand Experience for all Hyatt brands. This is a highly collaborative role, functioning across multiple disciplines. You will support the management of multi-national,multi-disciplined project teams by supervising the planning, design and operational review of all aspects of the Interior Design of hotels across all Hyatt brands including Full and Select Service, new build, take-over/conversions, franchise hotels and renovations. You will be responsible for leading the Interior Design throughout all phases of the projects.
This rolecan be based in Zurich, Paris, Palma, Dubai, London or Mainz and will report to the RVP Design Services.
Your Responsibilities
Provide design guidance and ensure compliance with Hyatt Standards
Responsible for the review of Mock Up Rooms, developing the report and ensuring the prototype room incorporates all required changes
Review drawings, plans, specifications, and material samples for the entire hotel to ensure that the approved interior designs have been incorporated and provide advice on specifications for interior furnishings and fixtures
Research and maintain a database of new interior design products, FF&E, materials and suppliers
Collaborate with Hyatt Design Services group to ensure brand initiatives are developed and implemented fit with the guidelines
Research and pre-qualify, and maintain a database of Interior Design Firms specializing in hospitality projects
Assist Project Directors as required for development of Prototype Area Programs (PAP) maximizing efficiencies and implementation into preliminary Architectural Reviews
Demonstrate a commitment to Hyatt core values
Qualifications:
Your Qualifications & Experiences
Multiple years of Interior Design experience working on Hospitality Projects
Degree or Diploma in Architecture / Interior Design
Proficiency with AutoCAD, Adobe and Microsoft Office
Experience of working with respect for local cultures
Ability to flex and adapt solutions to changing needs and environment
Ability to travel internationally at least 50% of the time
